How to cancel Uber One

Uber One is Uber’s membership for ride and delivery benefits. Here is where the cancel button lives, what you keep and lose, and what to check before and after.

Cancel at least 48 hours before the billing day.

Steps

  1. In the Uber app, tap the Account icon
  2. Tap Uber One
  3. Scroll to Manage Membership
  4. Select End Membership and follow the prompts

Open Uber One’s account page

Uber’s help page says to cancel at least 48 hours before the billing day. Inside that window, contact Uber support. Uber’s membership terms also say a charge taken when you cancel less than 24 hours before renewal may be refunded automatically, so the two pages do not use the same cut-off. An annual plan is cancelled by contacting support in the Help section, not only with End Membership.

What happens when you cancel

On a free trial, or if the membership is paused, Uber says the benefits end when you cancel. Otherwise you keep them until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Uber’s help says that if a payment is refunded, you cannot buy Uber One again for 3 days. The membership terms say the subscription charge is not refunded once the billing cycle has begun, except where the law says otherwise.
