How to cancel YouTube TV

YouTube TV is a streaming tv subscription, typically $82.99 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.

Steps

Open tv.youtube.com, Settings, Membership
Choose Manage next to your plan
Select Cancel membership and confirm

Open YouTube TV’s account page

Before you cancel

If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
