How to cancel Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is a streaming tv subscription, typically $9.99 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.

Apple TV+ is usually billed through the App Store. If so, cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or in the App Store app on a Mac; the steps below cover a direct subscription.

Steps

On iPhone or iPad open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions
Choose the subscription and tap Cancel Subscription
On a Mac use App Store, your account name, Account Settings, Manage Subscriptions

Open Apple TV+’s account page

Before you cancel

If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
