How to cancel Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime is a streaming tv subscription, typically $14.99 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.
Steps
- Go to amazon.com/mc (Manage Prime Membership)
- Choose Manage Membership, then End Membership
- Follow through the confirmation screens
Open Amazon Prime’s account page
Before you cancel
- If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
- Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.
After you cancel
- Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
- Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
- Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
