How to cancel Netflix

Netflix is a streaming tv subscription, typically $17.99 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.

If you pay through Apple, Google, or a phone or cable bundle, cancel there instead.

Steps

Sign in at netflix.com and open Account
Under Membership choose Cancel Membership
Confirm. Access continues until the end of the paid period

Before you cancel

If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
