How to cancel Spotify

Spotify is a music & audio subscription, typically $11.99 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.

Steps

Sign in at spotify.com/account
Open Your plan, then Change plan
Scroll to Cancel Premium and confirm

Before you cancel

If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
