How to cancel Audible

Audible is a music & audio subscription, typically $14.95 a month. Here is where the cancel button lives and what to watch for.

Unused credits are lost on cancel. Consider pausing instead if you have credits.

Steps

Sign in on the desktop site audible.com (not the app)
Open Account Details and choose Cancel membership
Decline the retention offers and confirm

Before you cancel

If you pay through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or a phone bundle, cancel there; the provider’s own page will not let you.
Check the renewal date first and cancel a day or two before it, so you get the full period you paid for without another charge.

After you cancel

Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.
