How to cancel Canva Pro
Canva Pro is Canva’s paid design plan. Here is where the cancel button lives, what you keep and lose, and what to check before and after.
Steps
- Sign in to the Canva account or team that pays
- From the homepage, open your profile, then Settings, then Billing
- On the plan, choose Cancel plan
- Choose Continue cancellation, give a reason, and choose Cancel subscription
Cancelling through an app store or a bundle
The steps above are for a subscription taken out with Canva Pro directly. If the charge on your statement comes from Apple, Google, Amazon or another company, that company holds the subscription and the cancel button is there.
If you pay through Apple
On an iPhone or iPad: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Canva, Cancel Subscription.
If you pay through Google Play
In the Play Store: profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Canva, Cancel subscription.
What happens when you cancel
Cancelling stops future payments. Paid features stay until the end of the current billing period. Designs stay on Canva Free, and the account stays open. On a Teams or Business plan, members lose the paid features at the end of the period; designs, Brand Kit content and shared folders stay on the free plan. Canva says cancelling Teams is permanent.
Pause or downgrade instead
Canva says you can pause a Pro, Teams or Business plan for up to 3 months instead of cancelling. There is no charge during the pause, and the plan resumes on its own. An annual plan can be paused only when less than two months remain. Pausing is not available from the iOS App Store.
Refunds
Canva’s cancellation article points refund questions to its refunds page and says a refund depends on when you cancel and which plan you bought. It does not promise one from the cancel button alone.
Before you cancel
- If Cancel plan is missing, you are on the wrong Canva account or the wrong team, or a store billed you. Check the email under Your account, and switch team from the profile menu.
- Check the renewal date and any notice deadline first. Complete cancellation before that deadline and check the confirmed access end date.
After you cancel
- Keep the confirmation email. If a charge appears later, it is your proof.
- Access normally continues until the end of the paid period, then stops.
- Check the next card statement once, to be sure the charge is gone.

How do I cancel Canva Pro?
Open your profile, Settings, Billing, Cancel plan, then Continue cancellation and Cancel subscription. You get a confirmation email.
What happens to my Canva designs if I cancel?
They stay on the free plan. Paid features stop at the end of the period you have paid for.
Can I pause Canva instead of cancelling?
Yes. Canva offers a pause of up to 3 months for Pro, Teams and Business, and the plan starts again on its own. The iOS App Store cannot pause a plan.
How do I cancel Canva if I subscribed on an iPhone?
In Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Canva’s website cannot cancel an App Store plan.
